At Project Lifeline we created the elevation programme in order to use music as an engagement tool to give us the opportunity to engage, assess and identify the needs, flaws and possible opportunities for the high risk trench-rooted youth who find it difficult to engage with some of the more common methods used or designed to identify their needs. A considerable percentage of young people relate to music as a means of expressing themselves. Usually the preferred type of music young people listen to portrays the type of life they live or at the least are subjected to. Building social relationships in a safe environment allows us to roll out the various methods and strategies that enable us to collect data and develop tailored plans for the needs of young people subjected to a life of violence along with the various programmes Project Lifeline delivers to address these young people. The most popular is the 12 Step Programme which is a self awareness programme. Additionally we supply mentoring, counselling and group seminars which is all possible through the elevation programme utilising music as an engagement tool giving young people the opportunity to show talent and skills in music from artists to music engineers and other fields in the music industry. This programme is a quick response engagement programme that allows us to connect with the more hard to reach youth that do not engage with the authorities.
We believe working together is the key to brighter futures. That's why we have teamed up with some of the best studios across London to offer music programs, and other educational initiatives to help our young people to succeed.
With the support of our funding partners, we can reach more young people across boroughs to give them the support and opportunities they deserve. Every young person deserves the chance to change their lives and follow their dreams.
We believe in the power of community. That's why we're working to develop and strengthen communities through mentoring, education, training, self development, and job opportunities
If you have a vision for change, and passion for young people, then Project Lifeline would love for you to get involved
